Huyton, Merseyside

Merseyside is a densely populated coastal county, lots of people, spirit, humour, lots to see - from land and air.

Huyton is part of the main Merseyside conurbation and is located east of Liverpool city centre, just north of the M62 motorway junction 6 (also accessible from junctions 5 and 7). Other towns in the immediate vicinity of Huyton include Prescot and Roby. Small places in the same area include Whiston, Eccleston Park, Rainhill, Rainhill Stoops, Tarbock Green, Netherly and Longview. Huyton is easy to access by road via the M62 and M57 motorways, and by rail using the Merseyrail network from Liverpool.

Although Huyton itself is a built-up area, it is close to many leisure facilities and visitor attractions, including many golf courses in the area (especially west towards Liverpool), Country Parks at Pex Hill, Halewood and Croxteth, and of course Knowsley Safari Park (just a few miles north of Huyton).

Hot air balloon rides don't usually take-off from Huyton itself but suitable areas are not far away.
