Heswall,
Merseyside
Merseyside
is a densely populated coastal county, lots
of people, spirit, humour, lots to see -
from land and air.Heswall
is one of the more "open" parts
of this area as it occupies a coastal location
on the north side of the River Dee opposite
the beautiful Welsh countryside of Flintshire
across the river. It is immediately opposite
"Dawpool Bank" (River Dee).
Heswall
is located on the Wirral peninsular, or
"across the water", as they say
in Liverpool. The Wirral is the peninsular
between the River Mersey (to the north)
and the River Dee (to the south). Other
places immediately around Heswall include
Gayton, Thornton Hough, Brimstage, Barnston,
Pensby and Irby. There is plenty to do in
this area as it is close to the Wirral Country
Park, camping facilities, caravan sites,
golf courses, and the sandy beach and outdoor
leisure attractions at West Kirby (a few
miles to the north).
Residents of Heswall may need to drive away
from the exposed coast to enjoy a hot air
balloon flight with a safe solid landing.
That should not be a problem as the beautiful
Cheshire and North-Wales countryside is
close-by.
