Merseyside

Prescot
is the area of central Merseyside that is
located just north of Huyton.
. It is conveniently located at Junction
2 of the M57, and is also reached via the
A57 from Liverpool city centre and the A58
from Ashton-in-Makerfield (Lancashire).
Prescot is surrounded by other areas in
Merseyside, including Longview, Knotty Ash,
Roby, Huyton, Rainhill
Stoops, Whiston, Eccleston Park, Rainhill,
Thatto Heath, Eccleston, Gillar's Green,
Knowsley, Croxteth,
and West Derby.
Outdoor pursuits facilities in the Prescot
area include Croxteth House and Country
Park (to the nort-west of Prescot), Knowsley
Safari Park (north of Prescot), several
glof courses in the area, including those
at Prescot, Netherley and West Derby, swimming
and other sports facilities in Prescot itself,
and Visitor Centres at nearby Rainhill
and St. Helens.
