Studley is a large village, noted in the Domesday Book. It is 5 miles north of Alcester, approximately 13 miles north west of Stratford-upon-Avon, 5 miles south east of Redditch (Worcestershire), and is just inside the Warwickshire county border. The village has a castle and the remains of a mediaeval priory. It lies amongst open countryside along the A435 (originally the Roman road ‘Ryknild Street’) that passes through the east side of the village, parallel to the River Arrow.
