Durrington is the village immediately north of Amesbury (which is the nearest town / village to Stonehenge). Durrington is located on the A345, which is one of the main roads running north-south through Salisbury Plain. We'd like to recommend Hot Air Balloon flights in this area but they might not always be possible over some parts of Salisbury Plain itself. That is because this area is used for some military training and exercises, so avaiation restrictions might apply. Specific advice is available from the Civil Aviation Authority, the British Balloon and Airship Club, and local operators.

Passengers can choose the location of their flight after purchasing a voucher accepted for flights all over the UK. Prices depend on number of passengers - more passengers cost less per person.

Booking Terms for Balloon Rides - for vouchers from "Days to Amaze"

Voucher Validity: All Days to Amaze gift vouchers are valid for a full 10 months from date of purchase, this gives you the choice when to take your dream day and secures it at today's price. Some of our events are subject to seasonal availabilty so book in plenty of time.
Voucher delivery: Vouchers ordered before 3pm are posted first class Royal Mail that day. For guaranteed next day delivery before 1 pm please tick box on the order page.
Weather: Ballooning requires light winds, no rain and good visibility. Please call on the day for weather update.
Availability: Weekday and weekends normally early morning and evening, April to October.
Dress Code: No special clothing is required for ballooning. Comfortable outdoor clothing is ideal.
Restrictions: So long as you are not pregnant and you can see over the basket this is open to all. You will be required to send your voucher into the operator.
Duration: Allow 3 hours, 1 hour to inflate, 1 hour flight and 1 hour to pack away and return to your starting point.
