Southwell is a small town on the River Greet, to the west of Newark-on-Trent and surrounded by the village of Normanton to the north, Halam to the west Parkhill and Easthorpe the south and Upton to the east. It is located close to the junction of the B6385 and A612, has a racetrack to the south and an incredibly well restored Workhouse to the north. Between Upton and the racecourse lies a caravan site and railway station. Hilly areas to the north and west, source many waterways which eventually join the River Trent to the south. So much to see !
