Rothwell is an ancient market town located at the junction of the A6 and A14, close to the larger towns of Desborough, Kettering, and Market Harborough (Leicestershire). It has a rich history and, at its week-long Rowell Fair, it annually celebrates its receipt from King John in 1204 of a Royal Charter granting permission to hold a regular market. Nearby visitor attractions include Rushton Triangular Lodge just about 2 miles away. This is another interesting area of Northamptonshire over which to enjoy a hot air balloon flight.
