Naseby,
Northamptonshire
Flying
over the countryside in a hot air balloon
is an unforgettable experience. It is the
most romantic form of flight, and a fantastic
new perspective of the world below !
The
sleepy village of Naseby, situated about
six mile south of Market Harborough (Leicestershire),
was a thriving market town in the middle
ages but suffered badly from an outbreak
of the Black Death in 1349. It will be forever
associated with the English Civil War and
the battle that bears its name when in 1645
the Royalists were routed by Cromwell’s
army. The peace of the local countryside
is now a far cry from those momentous events
in the middle of the seventeenth century.
Today one can enjoy the rolling countryside
of this area from a hot air balloon drifting
peacefully across the sky. You might see
Naseby Reservoir or nearby Sulby Reservoir
glinting in the sunlight.
Passengers can choose
the location of their flight after purchasing
a voucher accepted for flights all over
the UK. Prices depend on number of passengers
- more passengers cost less per person.
