Dover,
Kent
Many
fantastic aerials views of Kent may be enjoyed
from hot air balloon flights over Britian's
most south-easterly county.
Dover
is one of the best-known towns in Kent as
it is a major Channel Port from which passenger
ferries depart to France and other European
countries. It is probably best-known for
the short and frequent service to Calais
(France). Located on the east coast of Kent,
Dover is south of Deal
and a short distance north-east of the neighbouring
port of Folkestone.
Dover is far more that simply a route to
France, but rather is a destination in its
own right. Visitors to Dover enjoy Dover
Castle among other local attractions.
Other places in the area around Dover include:
West Cliffe, Guston, Buckland, Maxton, Farthingloe,
West Hougham, South Alkham, Wolverton, Chilton,
Kearsney and others.
