Chesterton, Gloucestershire
Gliding peacefully across beautiful countryside early on a summer morning, or in the evening is an unforgettable experience. Unlike other aircraft, you can watch the hot air balloon being assembled before your eyes - just like a giant tent ! Then climb aboard and admire the view from the basket - no doors closed, or windows to sit behind, it's all out in the fresh air. Fantastic !
The urban area of Chesterton lies to the south of the dual carriageway through Cirencester. The Roman Ampitheatre is situated close to the hospital to the north of Chesterton. A section of the Fosse Way (A429) lies across the fields to the west of Chesterton. To the south, beyond the villages of Siddington, Shemcote and Ewen are the Keynes Country Park, Neighbridge and South Cerney (within the Cotswolds Water Park).
