Uckfield is a thriving market town situated on the B2102, next to the A22 and with a simple crossover to the A26. Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells can reached to the northeast, whilst Lewes is within 8 miles southwest. Mixing new with old, Uckfield has a combination of historic and modern buildings throughout the town. It is also home to Sheffield Park station, where the Bluebell Railway departs from. The lively town has regular carnivals, festivals and farmers markets.
