Originally
named Anzac-on-Sea in 1914, Peacehaven lies
along the coast of East Sussex and has numerous
links to other areas by travelling along
the A259. Within 3 miles to the west Telscombe
Cliffs, Saltdean and Rottingdean
can be reached. Within 8 miles east along
the A259 are Newhaven,
and Seaford. Roughly
1½ miles directly north of Peacehaven
is the Telscombe Youth hostel. Slow to start,
Peacehaven produced its own electricity
board in 1924 and has been flourishing since.
