Travelling west along the A259 will direct you to the coastal town of Peacehaven, whereas travelling east will lead to Seaford. The town boosts the award-winning attraction of the Newhaven Fort and adventure playground, which gives an educational insight into what it was like to live in a Victorian Fortress. The sea is less than a mile from this popular tourist destination.
