Mayfield is a historic village situated north of the county of East Sussex and is approximately 7 to 8 miles directly south of Tunbridge Wells. Crowborough, roughly 4½ miles northwest of the town can be reached by the A267 and the B2100. The nearest area to Mayfield is Coggins Mills, to the northeast. The village has 4 churches and several pubs. Through Mayfield flows the River Rother, allowing for peaceful walks along the riverside and opportunities for boating and fly fishing.
