The small market town of Heathfield lies close to the centre of East Sussex, near the junction of the A267 and the A265. Mayfield is approximately 3 miles north, with Uckfield 6 miles west and Hailsham just over 6 miles south of the town. Nearer surrounding areas include Little London to the south and Broad Oak to the northeast. With a variety of pubs and bed and breakfasts, and being no more than 15 miles from the sea, Heathfield makes for tranquil location to visit.
