The
East Sussex town of Battle is situated south
of Whating and Canadia and is approximately
5 miles northwest of Hastings, reached via
the A2100. Due to being located on the main
road, Battle is a busy town. However, it
still retains the Norman St. Mary Church,
containing 13th century artwork, as well
as being the site of the historical Battle
of Hastings in 1066. The town also boasts
the Battle Museum of Local History, which
can be located to the west of the area,
just northwest of Telham.
