The
small town of Yelverton on the A386 (Tavistock
/ Plymouth) is situated within the Dartmoor
National Park with easy access to the surrounding
villages and the B3212 and across the moor
to Princetown and Exeter. It is located
south east of Tavistock and Horrabridge,
and north east of Plymouth and Saltash.
The Paperweight Centre, Garden House, and
local museum are some of the local visitor
attractions. A few miles to the south west
lies Buckland Abbey and Estate, the once
family home of Sir Francis Drake. To the
east on the moor lies the Upper Plym Valley,
Sheepstor and the Burrator Reservoir.
