Torquay is a large town situated at the northern end of Tor Bay.
It is a popular tourist centre and holiday town with many places of special interest. To the coastal area at the south east of the town is situated the pre-historic caves of Kent’s Cavern. The palm tree lined sea-side walkways are bedecked with in-season flowers and the town’s theatres are frequented by tourists.
Torre Abbey lies close to the A3022 and the popular village of Cockington is only a short distance to the south of Compton Castle close to the A380.
