If you're lucky enough to live in this beautiful
area, then how about seeing it from a different
perspective ?
The
City of Plymouth is located to the north
of The Sound where the Rivers Taymar and
Plym (either side of the city) meet before
reaching the sea. The City of Plymouth lies
between Saltash (Cornwall) to the west of
the River Taymar, and Plympton to the east
of the River Plym.
Many famous sailors have left England from
Plymouth quayside and sea battles have been
fought close to its shores.
To the west of the City lies the Naval Dockyards
while on the southern limits stand the Royal
Citadel and the parkland area of the famous
Plymouth Hoe. Nearby can be seen the narrow
streets and timbered building of the Merchant’s
House of the Barbican area close to the
quayside and old harbour. Crownhill Fort
is located to the north, west of the A386
whilst the City Airport and Plym Forest
lie to the north and east respectively.
Passengers can choose
