Market town of Honiton is located to the
north-east of Exeter and north of Sidmouth.
It is easily accessed by road via the A30
(Exeter) which passes through the town,
A375 (Sidford), the A373 (Cullompton) and
the A39 (Axminster) and by rail on the Exeter
to Axminster line. Honiton lies close to
the River Otter sourced in the Blackdown
Hills which almost surround the town. The
East Devon Area of Natural Beauty borders
the Southern limits of Honiton. The local
golf course is located less than a mile
to the south of Honiton in a sheltered position
to the north side of a 254ft hill. The villages
of Combe Raleigh, Buckerell, Monkton and
Offwell are within a few miles around the
town of Honiton and the local camping and
caravan site is less than a mile to the
north east.
