town of Holsworthy is located at the crossing
of two major roads, A3072 from Stratton
(Cornwall) to Hatherleigh and the A388 from
Launceston (Cornwall) to the A386 Bideford.
The River Deer flows south through the south
east edge of the town to join the River
Tamar about 10 miles to the south. The county
border with Cornwall is within 5 miles to
the west along the A3072 but closer to the
south west near to the village of Leworthy.
To the north west lies Thorne Manor close
to Pancrasweek and the National Nature Reserve
of Dunsdon.
