perspective ?
The
large village of Hatherleigh is located
approximately 10 miles north of Okehampton
and 9 miles east of Holsworthy. It is to
the east of the A386 (Okehampton) close
to its junction with the A3072 (Holsworthy)
where the River Lew flowing near its western
limits joins the River Torridge to the north.
The village is built on the sloping hillside
of the valley with Runmon Moor across the
valley to the south west. Fishleigh Castle
is around the hill to the north east, and
St John’s Well is below the hamlet of Mon
- where there is a view of the hills and
valleys from east to west.
