Clovelly, Devon
Add a new experience to your trip to Devon.
If you're lucky enough to live in this beautiful area, then how about seeing it from a different perspective ?
The coastal village of Clovelly, once a bustling fishing port, has one main cobbled street of white-washed cottages which leads down to the Lifeboat house, other historical buildings, hotel, quayside buildings and the 14th century quay itself. The village is reached from the A39 from Bideford / Stratton (Cornwall).
Along the beach to the left of the Lifeboat House is the waterfall from the stream which serves the village. The village has a Methodist Chapel, St Peter’s Chapel, craft workshops and shop, post office, Queen Victoria Fountain and Visitor Centre. Donkeys are used to carry goods and people along the steep sloping cobbled street and vehicles are available to return visitors to the Centre and the ancient manor house of Clovelly Court & Gardens at the highest part of the village.
