market town of Bovey Tracey lies close to
junction of the A383 (Newton Abbot) and
B3344 (Chudleigh Knighton) both of which
continue in different directions across
the Dartmoor National Park. The town lies
on the east and west banks of the River
Bovey Valley. Several bridges span the river
along which is a large park to the south
and grasslands to the north. There is a
camping and picnic site to the eastern limits
of Bovey Tracey close to a tributary of
the River Bovey within five miles of Chudleigh
Knighton.
