St. Merryn lies at either side of the B3276 (Porthcothan / Padstow) and is surrounded by narrow local lanes and farming communities. To the north-west lies Constantine Bay whose rocky outcrop at Treyarnon Point contrasts with the sand beach of Trenarnon Bay.
To the north is Harlyn with its large sandy bay between the cliffs at Cataclews and St. Cadoc’s Points. A camping and caravan park is located to the north-west of St. Merryn. A private airfield lies a few miles south of the regional cycle route. The cycle route is a special feature of this area.
