The
coastal town of Perranporth is located west
of Goonhavern, south-west of Newquay,
and north-east of Truro.
It is reached by the B3284 (from A30) and
3 miles along the B3285 northwards from
the coastal resort of St.
Agnes. Between Perranport
and Hollwell are Penhale sands and the Perran
Beach. A regional cycle way crosses the
dunes and continues along the coastline
to Newquay. There
is a holiday centre and two camping and
caravan parks on the dunes as well as St.
Piran’s Oratory, a church and cross. Perranporth
Museum is situated to the north of the town
close to the dunes near Aroskyn Point.
