town of Hayle is situated at the River Hayle
Estuary within St. Ives Bay. It is reached
by rail along the Penzance to Camborne line
and by road from the A30 trunk road (Exeter-Devon),
B3302 (Helston) and the coastal roads, the
B3301 (Portreath) and the B3306 (St.Just).
To the west of the estuary lies the Wildlife
habitat of Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary
whilst to the north (near Phillack), is
a long sandy beach behind which there are
several camping and caravan parks.
