old harbour town of Fowey is situated on
the west bank of the River Fowey close to
the estuary. It can be reached along the
A3058 (St. Blagey Gate) and the B3269 (Bodmin)
to the north of Portruan. Ferry services
from Fowey provide access to Bodinnick,
Portruan and Mevagissy (summer service).
The cycle path from Padstow (The Saint’s
Way) follows the town’s riverside, the cliff-tops
(Gribbin Head) and onwards to Tywardreath.
